HAVING TROUBLE WITH FUMBLES

This seem to be my weakes point in this year madden. I am losing way to many fumbles that is costing me games. It seems that the online players all they ever do is try for the strip or the major hit stick fumble hit. I have lost games that I know should have been put in my win column only to be put in as a lose. So can someone tell me how do the cover up the ball play on the PS2 system. I would greatly appreciated and thank you ALC
