Adminsatrators

The administrators (short form: "admin") manage the technical details required for running the site. As such, they may promote (and demote) members to moderators, manage the rules, create sections and sub-sections, as well as perform any database operations (database backup etc). Administrators often also act as moderators. Administrators may also make forum-wide announcements, or change the appearance (known as the skin) of a forum.[18]

The term prune used extensively in administration panels is synonymous with delete or remove. The term comes from pruning, the practice of removing diseased, non-productive, or otherwise unwanted portions from a plant.


Moderators

The moderators ("mod") are users of the forum which are granted access to the posts and threads of all members for the purpose of moderating discussion and also keeping the forum clean. they have access to all posts and threads in their area of responsibility.Moderators also answer users' concerns about the forum, general questions, as well as responding to specific complaints. Moderator privilages include: deleting, merging, moving, and splitting of posts and threads; closing, renaming, stickying of threads; banning, unbanning, warning the members; or adding, editing, removing the polls of threads.

moderators only have permission to modify specific sections given out to them by the forum owner.

Global Moderators

global moderators do the same thing as moderators but have access to modify all sections of the forum. They modify the chatbox too. this spot is not just given out you have to prove that you should have a such high position.

/clear - Delete the messages from the Chatbox
/cls - Same as the '/clear' command
/me - In the beginning of a sentence, this command will be replaced by your username (ex: /me eats a delicious pizza" will display "Nickname eats a delicious pizza")
/kick - Disconnect a member from the Chatbox. The command must be followed by the username to disconnect (ex: /kick username). Disconnecting a user won't prevent him from reconnecting.
/exit - Disconnect from the Chatbox. You can also precise the reason that will be visible for all members connected (ex: /exit reason)
/abs - Send a message noticing that you're absent. You can add a reason that will be displayed in the message and visible by all members connected to the Chatbox (ex: /abs reason)

those are the commands...not just any member can do this. just the chatbox mods. they will have a special symbol in front of their name when in the chatbox..example @jrock275, @coolkenny180,etc

Banishment
Only the forum adminatrators have access to ban members, but it has to be a legitimate reason.

Moderation

• renaming a thread – only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to rename threads . only rename a thread if you feel the thread is not specific enough, or if you feel it has the wrong title for the info in it.

• Sticky threads – only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to sticky threads.sticky threads are important threads will be displayed at the tip of the section its in

• making a thread an announcement - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to make the thread an announcement. Only to be done so if it is very important information.

• Merging threads - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to merge threads. If two threads are started about the same thing/topic than you merge the threads, but if not than leave it alone.

• Locking threads - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to lock threads. Threads are only to be locked if they break the rules, or you just think they it needs to be locked.

• Deleting threads - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to delete threads. They are to be deleted if they break the rules too, but to an even higher degree

• Spliting topics - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to split topics. If more than one topic is talked about in 1 specific thread than split the thread up.

• Moving tipics - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to move threads. Thrteads are to be moved if they are in the wrong section of the forum.

• Sending a thread to the basket - only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to move threads to the basket. They are threads that are old, useless, pointless, etc. The basket is named the recycle bin, so any threads moved to basket will be in the recycle bin.

If you are a moderator go to that section to modify. go in the forum and look at bottom of the page and you will see something titled

"Permissions of this forum:
You can reply to topics in this forum
You can moderate this forum"

click on you can moderate this forum. only the people who have access to modify that section will be able to do so

You will know if you are a moderator of the section because before you enter the forum it will say
Moderators: (blank) (blank) (blank)
