My defensive scheme!

My Scheme

Playbook: Balanced D
Team: Baltimore Ravens
Base D: 3-4


My setup. (Player preferences)
Defensive ends i use the stronger defensive ends. the fast ones are most time weak against the run, but good with rushing.
Defensive Tackle. i need a strong Dt as well. to keep that middle clogged up

For outside linebackers one has to have strength and speed.
and the other olb i just really want speed for him.

Inside linebackers.
one has to have awareness, good tackler, speed, etc. just good all-around.
The other ILB i just want some awareness, and tackle power.

Against The Run
The first thing i like to do is stop the run. It makes them one-dimensional.(Having to pass alot)
Im a great run-stopper. i control MLb1. to me he is the most important position on defense you can stop the run, and drop into coverage if needed.
Im currently on a 51-game no 100 yard rusher streak (kept track with stats sent to my e-mail)
So im very good at stopping the run
I all out blitz, and run commit alot.

Against The Pass
you can stop the pass with average corners. But you have to have (IMO), a least a play-making safety.

i pass commit alot as well.


Getting Pressure:
I All-Out-Blitz alot. i send everybody. its successful about 60% of the time for me. really depends on the opponents pocket presence, and if someone is open,etc.
With all-out-blitz. mainly the OLB'S will get the sack(if you get one)
With getting pressure comes turnovers. I have Ed Reed in my outfield, so his side i dont even have to worry about anybody going deep or over the middle.

Other Stuff
My second half D is always lockdown. Im not saying my 1st half D isnt good, but my second half D is just always on point.
My thing is i pretty much let them do whatever in the 1st quarter, or their first couple of drives.
I get a feel of them, and their tendencies, etc.

I Been playing the game for awhile, against many different people, seen many things.So i pretty much have good awareness (not trying to sound cocky, or pump myself up)


I didnt play madden for about 30 days (for no reason). Came back been on fire. Played 6 games since. gave up a total of 23 points in that 9-game span span.




I dont know what to really talk about, or cover, My scheme is basic. but it gets the job done.

what is a great , or the best fag d 2 use in certain situations . what are they , and how do u set them up.like for example: i do 2 mn under and put my de's in purple n dt's n yellow but they just throw right 2 the flats so im asking was sum crazy fag d's 2 use like for redzone situations r if its the last few seconds of the half. post reply the best 1's for not letting my opponent complete a pass when i need this d the most?

Quarter 2 man under 1 DE in flat other in contain. Drop MLB in Red. But this works cus i control the whole left side of field with FS. If you pass on that side the ball is mine but you can ask ibench bout that lol

my recent experiance with zone defense:

goods: I have been forcing more turnovers.

bads: been giving up more points.

Its not that i dont know how to play zone, but it"ll take some getting used to. im not switching to zone as my base d, but it will be times when i have to use it. like man D, i control the mlb#1...or the strong safety.

as u guys kno i run that dbl z otta 3-4 n youve seen how i set up etc ive seen or, found out a great combo of a gd d thats light but give's up short yardage. and holds my opponet to certain reads. like jrock say he dosent like giving up alot of rushing yards a gm . well ima start giving up lil by little , ive found a perfect d that will make my opponent struggle moving the ball when they need to score the most
