Madden 11 Tournament Sign-Up and discussion thread.

Alright, heres the deal. Trying to do a m11 "welcome" tournament. So I need to know who wants in, when we should start, etc. We'll definately do many tournaments (If ps2 madden 11 has online features), and this is the beginning.

Other Info: The tournament will most likely take place on a saturday, because thats when people are most available. If you have to leave the tournament/ and or a game for any reason, please let us know. As soon as we get enough players for this it will begin. All participants please keep in contact with this thread for any new information as I will keep all of you updated (If new info is available). If you are interested in this tournament please let us know by leaving a reply with your gamertag and designated team, or informing me that you would like to participate in this event. Oh i thought this was being done through the site not on the tourny mode online. If that is the case prolly count me out. I have alot coming up and i don`t see anyway i`ll have a few hours to sit down for a tournament

well we dont necessarily have to run the tourney through EA tournament holder. we can run it through the site...but we have to maintain order or its useless.

Jrock I gotta idea. If you do the tourney, I would suggest either :

1) Run the tourny through the EA servers, but put the time between rounds 24 hours, and start it at midnight, so then everybody has that whole day to play their game, to avoid less confusion and not have to have everyone wait around in a lobby.

2) Make a bracket and post it in the first thread, their are plenty of "bracket builder" websites out there or you can use a program or whatever.

Oh yes...good thinking.

we can definately yrun it throught the site, through bracket builders...but we 're gonna have to maintain order. I know that can become a wreck if its not organized properly.

and the 24 hours between rounds isnt bad.

Yup if you do the bracket way you gotta lay down the law and trust everyone plays to the rules. Go through the servers you got complete control of rules and difficulty etc.

The 24 hours works imo but the only problem that could occur is if your opponent never shows to play and your not online at the time the round ends so you would both be eliminated
