No online for ps2 madden 11!

There is no online play for madden nfl 11 (ps2). I have uploaded pics (see below) for evidence and proof that I did purchase the game, and that there is no online. The game is still $39.99.

My only problem with this whole thing would be the way EA handled it. If they would have addressed this early and gave us the heads up, I wouldnt have a problem with anything because I knew an answer to what I needed asked. But EA didnt address it, and guys are scrambling all over looking for answers, while EA is sitting back already knowing the answer but just not informing us of it. I understand there wasnt much that you could do to the ps2, in terms of upgrading it. But taking online out is taking the heart out, and stomping right on it. Since this is more than likely the last madden for ps2, I thought they'd have some class and decency for the ps2 gamers and leave this feature in, but I obviously was wrong. Still charging you the $40 for it like it comes with a maximum of features when the main feature has been removed. All I can do is shake my head at this situation and EA, but then again I think about it.... It's EA sports, you can pretty much expect them to do things like this. EA is probably the most succesful, most popular, yet shady-est gaming company out there, and they consistently get a lot of non-needed praise for their work. They rarely listen to customers, they rarely care what customers have to say, and just do as they please at their own discretion.

Like ALC mentioned, you may see a change in the forums. Even though we're an all around madden forum for all systems, most of us are hard-core ps2 gamers. Activity started to pick up as of late, and as time went on more activity was going to pick up, but with this I dont know where people go from here. Now it may be like guys dont have anything to talk/post about so I cant tell you all what to expect. I dont have intentions on shutting down MH, never that, i'll always be active around here!

I'm not the type to go on long rants, and im aware that all good things come to an end, but its just extremely crushing and heart-breaking that it has to be and end like this. What an outrage!

EA strikes again!

I hate it cus i became absolutely amazing this year. I usually don`t seriously brag about my game (I do jokingly) but i really got good and now i won`t get to see how i can do for a whole year. I don`t even remember the last time i lost

The game doesnt even have an option to even play online... it being online, and it being online without the online patch was a lie this whole time. Never was it going to be online, and EA knew this from the very beginning.

There are lots of guys who are very loyal to this system, and they up and do this. Total disrespect, disgrace, etc.

Heartbreaking seeing guys say and mention things like they're about to hop online, looking for a game, cant get a game, etc. We cant even say any of that... Had some things lined up with this game for this year, now thats dead.

I FEEL YOU ON THIS IT A TOTAL DISGRACE WHAT EA HAS DONE TO LOYAL CONSUMERS AND PLAYERS OF THIS SYSTEM. BY THE GAME NOT HAVING A FEATURE WHERE YOU CAN TRY TO PUT IT ONLINE LET YOU KNOW THAT EA DUMY-DOWN THE FINAL PRODUCT AND WALK AWAY.

You might not want to answer this but is it official that there wont be a redo and that the game will go out without any online capablities. If you care to respond please do and thanks ALC

Well, there is no official word on whether or not they'll re-release the game. I understand the sales are down and that may could interest in EA to re-release the game, but its EA we're dealing with. They lack the great work ethic, and definately wont shed light on the situation. I think if it was going to be a re-released version they would have said something, to get the word out and give people heads up's.

Just my opinion though...

THEY SAT BACK AND LIE KNOWING IT WASNT GOING TO BE ONLINE AND DIDNT HAVE NO INTENTION FOR IT TO BE ONLINE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS HAS BEEN A DISREGAURD FOR THE PS2 CONSUMER AND SYSTEM.
SO NOW THAT PLAYERS HAVE HIP EACH ORTHER TO THERE ISNT ANY ONLINE FEATURE AND CAPABLITIES. THEY GO INTO RUMOR MODE TO STRIKE UP INTEREST IN THIS PRODUCT.
